Kristen Vincent
lady writer
a little backstory
I am a freelance comedy writer, journalist, and political activist -- your average “unserious person who likes serious things.” My professional background is in Screenwriting as I’ve written and sold projects to Hollywood studios and producers, mostly in the comedy genre. I also work with several political organizations including Democrats Abroad to help elect female candidates across the US because it’s not funny if men are the only ones in elected office.
If we go way back (before the iPhone was a thing) I studied Communications and Journalism at the College of Charleston where I graduated Magna cum Laude. I went on to study Screenwriting at UCLA, which required a move to Los Angeles, where I also learned how to cut an avocado the ‘right way’. Right now, I am living in London with my husband, two daughters, and our dog, Pizza, where it does rain all the time and people use words like marvelous and finicky.

Let's talk
about it...
screenwriting
JUST THIS ONCE
An R-Rated comedy that follows a husband and wife to Las Vegas, where they instantly blow their life savings at the blackjack table but are offered a shot at redemption when the husband is offered $50k to have gay sex with a lonely, but frisky casino billionaire. It was inspired by the “Me Too” era as it swaps the husband as the prostitute, and was optioned Summer 2019.
UNTITLED FEMALE PRISONERS COMEDY
A feature-length comedy about a Police Captain who is so desperate for justice that she lets a jumbled batch of female inmates out of prison to catch a cop-killing drug czar. We follow these misfits as they re-enter society as the ‘good guys’ to hunt down public enemy number one. I’ll finish writing this project in Summer 2020.
FETCH
A feature-length comedy about a self-absorbed, struggling actor who moves to Los Angeles to pursue fame, fortune and fancy gift bags, but is blinded by a jealous rage when his dog is “discovered” and becomes an instant celebrity. The movie tracks tracks their relationship as they go from man and his best friend to ‘friendly’ show business rivals, and finally disintegrate into enemies hellbent on destroying one another. It’s big, broad fun, and sold to Paramount.
